What I am describing is all new since I started having periods again after weaning. From the first day of my period through a few days after ovulation I am uncomfortably bloated in the hips and abdomen. It's bad enough that I can't even wear my clothes. Then, as I near my period, I completely deflate when I normally had PMS.

I still have cycles like clockwork and normal periods. Does anyone know what is going on with my body?

This kind of bloating could be related to a hormone imbalance such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome but in order to find out for sure I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.
