Me: 33 y.o. Sun, Moon, Mercury all in Cancer, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Leo, ascendant Sagittarius. He is: 29 y.o. Sun, Moon in Scorpio w/ Mercury in Sagittarius, Venus in Scorpio, Mars in Leo, unknown ascendant.

I'm 6 inches taller than him & have gone further w/ education.

I think my being substantially taller & more educated made him jealous & intimidated. Big pity b/c I really fell for him. But I am also intimidated by and jealous of his willpower (used to run marathons - unbelievable legs).

He started running colder after 7 dates and, when sort of pressed, he said he can't see it turning into a relationship but he cares about me & would enjoy spending "many, many" more times with me.

(more to come)...

I was the only one to go to his 30th birthday party last weekend (he DID invite me even after he said that he didn't see it working out between us). I think there were reasonable explanations for nobody showing, but he seemed unhappy. He said I was "lucky" that I had other parties to go to. He said he "had no friends". I had other commitments I really couldn't sacrifice, but I did go to his party & was the only one and took him things I knew he'd like.

A few hours later, he changed his status to "in a relationship" and it really crushed me because of who he said it was with. I e-mailed him and he said that it wasn't for real, that it was for the other person's benefit, but that my "goodbye" e-mail was maybe appropriate b/c maybe my feelings were too strong.

I have this feeling, though, that he is really afraid of his own feelings. Despite being really hurt by him, I also care for him in both romantic and friendship ways.

What does it sound like to you guys?

Scorpios are by nature very secretive and guarded with thier emotions. The trust only after they have been shown that they can, and even then, they still don't completely let thier guard down.

They do have great willpower and feel the need to have complete control of everything in thier lives...including you.

Water signs are compatible with each other, but maybe try a sign (or person) with less drama and who isn't afraid to express thier emotions (which you need from someone special).

Try another Cancer, Pisces, Saggitarius, Libra or Taurus.

I think with a little communication you two could work things out. Cancers have an innate romantic thing for Scorpios that is why you have such a draw to him. I think with a little communication you two can be happy. Good luck.
