What special items do you own; LP's, CD's, ticket stubs, or other memorabilia.
Does anyone still own the original vinyl of 'Dark Side of the Moon' with the posters and stickers intact? Or the original vinyl of 'Wish You Were Here' which came wrapped in black shrink wrap? Any of you still holding sealed copies?
There were also a couple hundred bootleg vinyl albums too. Some were very good, what were you favorite boots?
What's special about your Pink Floyd collection?

wowwhatisthatthing - Yeah the Pompeii video is terrific, and without a doubt my favorite. I still have my ancient VHS copy, and a year ago I picked up the DVD. My favorite scene is still when Nick Mason is ordering a slice of pie..."not a corner piece, and without the crust"...haaa! That's classic too!

I have the original v.c.r. recording of "Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii" which included a wall poster of them playing in the ruins.

I've got some vinyl myself Chunga, nothing that totally original as a first pressing or anything but pretty darn old (DSOTM Wish You Were Here Animals More Atom Heart Mother The Final Cut Meddle The Wall Relics A Collection Of Great Dance Songs Obscured By Clouds). I don't own a single boot of theirs. Ticket stubs (Momentary Lapse/Division Bell) Tour Shirts (Lots...fave-Animals) Wall Hanging (Dark Side circa 1983) Every CD from their entire career of course, including all of Waters and Gilmour's solo stuff. Probably (Far as I know) every Floyd DVD ever made. Ticket stubs from 3 tons of Floyd laser light shows I went to in the 80's (Remember those?....lol) I have every thing Floyd ever did on cassette as well, and I busted My hump getting some of those 20 years ago (Ummmagumma Saucerful Of Secrets...talk about jumping through grommets!) Then they had to go come out with CD's and render them all redundant! I would dare say You've got some Floyd bootlegs, right?
*Edit*
Get well soon Sarah
*Edit 2*
Silver I know how You feel, I am old enough that I got an almost first hand exposure to Classic Rock bands in the 80's But just Young enough to have never been able to have seen the orginal (Or even in some cases second or third) lineups of almost any of My favorite bands in concert...Darn It!

I've got most of the albums on CD. Nothing on Vinyl anymore. I do have some interesting bootleg stuff. No real names for the boots but an early version of Sheep called "Raving and Drooling". I'm more into Zep bootlegs. Saw The revamped version of Floyd on the Momentary tour. Great show. First concert ever at the Horseshoe at Ohio State. I've got a remastered version of Ummagumma that has all the original artwork and also a bonus live disc. I noticed that no one mentioned "Live at Pompeii". Truly one of the coolest videos they ever made. Gilmour saying that the music is " all just an extension of what's in our minds" is priceless. I think the version of "Careful With That Axe Eugene" is one of the most primal things I've ever seen. Well, I've rambled enough, and I think they want me to do some more work. Hope I gave everyone something else to think about.

I have a bunch of Floyd vinyl including those posters and I have a sealed copy of WIsh You Were Here.
I enjoy their music but I only really like the early albums like Piper, Saucerful, Meddle, Ummugumma, More. I think the later stuff like Dark Side, Wall, Animals and that is good but I think it it way to overplayed on radio, and so many people listen to it now and think they know Pink Floyd but they haven't gone back to discover the roots of the band. Don't get me wrong any 15 year old guy listening to Dark Side is better than rap or whatever but I just think these kids should get back to hear the Syd Barrett stuff and not just focus on the Wall and Dark Side.

Nothing's special about my Pink Floyd collection :0(
Like I said, I was born too late and my parents never cared about music, so all my Floyd stuff is on cds. I actually do have the Ummagumma record (but no record player....). I bought it at a street fair in Union Square. I saw other Floyd records to collect (just for the sake of my obsession) but I didn't have enough money and I could never find that guy again. I also have a bunch of bootleg live videos of their concerts that are pretty bad quality (also bought at random street fairs), but have never been officially released but it's in tape form and I don't know how to ripe that into youtube videos.....
This makes me very sad... if I were born at the right time I would probably have a huge collection.
What's in your collection? I'm pretty sure it's much more interesting.
*edit
I have a interesting combination of illnesses that decided to attack me at once so I was knocked out cold for the last 15 hours..... by the time I woke up, it was to late to go to school... not like it's a bad thing...

Special Items: None other than my CDs and Inside Out unfortunately. Hey, I'm only fifteen!
Vinyls: That would be so frickin' sweet.
Bootlegs: None.
What's special?
I started collecting when I was around twelve. Show me another teenager who loves A Saucerful of Secrets and Atom Heart Mother and I'll be impressed.

Own all their CD's.
Have The Wall movie which I have watched probably over 100 times including once in slow motion (dont ask! LOL).
both of my kids ages 17 and 10 have been introduced to the music along with both of them having seen the movie and owning dark side t-shirts.
Oldest wants to see the laser light show that comes to the city on occasion which the last time I saw that....umm....the tracers were really bad if you get my drift, not sure if I am ready to go there yet with her! LOL
I may not be a collector of special items as you discribed, but I am a Big fan, love love love them! :)

Nothing :(
I'm not old enough to have had any vinyl :(
I have the 30th anniversary edition of DSotM, which has an amazing stained-glass window on the cover, and I have a sew-on patch of the original cover on one of my bags.
My dad saw them perform DSotM live at The Camden Roundhouse. He says he couldn't hear properly for 3 days after ~ standing too near to the speakers!
I'm feeling deprived now!
Edit :~
{{{Hugs}}} to Sarah ~ I was like that 2 weeks ago with several nasty somethings all at once!
