And does Ink Printing technology consume more ink than printing on plain paper?

I believe the content being printed determines how much ink is used along with the printer's settings. The paper in and of itself does not use more ink.

The plain paper setting on your printer options will use the least amount of ink.... If you want to save more ink, set the printer to draft quality. The use Standard setting for more important documents.
