Possessions don't necessarily make you happy. Good relationships with other people do better at that.

Two suggestions - first - try volunteering to help someone who is less fortunate. Help at a school, or at the Red Cross, or a church if you're a believer. Try a soup kitchen, or a hospital, too.

Second - see your doctor, and ask him/her about the signs of depression. Sometimes medical treatment is the fix.

Because the problems lies within. I have the world, I have two beautiful children, a husband who loves me and takes care of me, and yet I'm sad the majority of the time. Why? Because of things within me that stem from a troubled childhood. Sounds to me like that someone needs to heal what's inside of them first. It's never about possessions.

Material things, in the long run, do not make us happy. The most satisfied people are the ones that have a good family or good personal relationships. Remember we have to like ourselves before others can like us.
