No!!! You are NEVER TOO OLD!!!
Look at it this way - you are going to turn 36 in two years anyways, so why not do it with a degree in hand?
I started college at 22, as the mother of a 2 y/o child, finished with a Bachelor's at 26. I went to grad school immediately (to move up in my field) and finished 22 credits by the time I was 28. I left when I became ill. My daughter is now a senior and when she goes to college next year, I am going to go back and take some classes in history, library science, and genealogy. I could care less about finishing a Master's in Nursing. I love genealogy.
Education is a lifelong process!

There are often articles in newspapers and alumni magazines about people in their 60's who retired and then went back to school to complete their degrees. Occasionally they highlight someone in their 70's or 80's who completed a degree.
A lot of working people who dropped out of undergraduate schools start with going evenings and then finally plunge into full time. For some graduate work where the courses are only given during the days then some older people who start in evenings become full time daytime students to get those courses and also to speed up the process.
Six year gap is not a big deal.

I am a mother of 2 and work part time. I just started back at school after about 6 years too. I am 36. It is amazing what you mind can retain and how complete I feel with the choice of returning. I was nervous at first but, if you look for a school that works with working adults, it will be less annoying than going to a university with a bunch of 19 year olds. I also plan on getting my Masters after I get my Ba. I want to be a librarian. just do it!!!!

No, of course not. I went back and finished a Computer Science degree after being away for over 20 yrs. In fact, most employers encourage you to continue schooling. Some also have tuition reimbursement programs.

No. Go back. As long as you have the support financially and mentally go right ahead. I am 32, finished my BA in 2005 and will finish my MA soon. I found a great career about 8 months after obtaining my BA. Remember, learning is a life long process, you never get too old and "forget about not being able to teach an old dog, new tricks" its not true! Good Luck.........................

You're still very young. You could probably finish a course of study in three years and then graduate school in two. That would make you 39 years old -- certainly young enough to take advantage of your education for many more years.
If anything, being older will help you focus on your coursework.

GO GO GO I went Metropolitian College of New York. and the majority of students were over 30.
Im 31 and now want to teach so i have to get my Masters, my friend is the same age and now back to get her Bachelor.
SO GOOD LUCK :)
PS before getting a degree i would look up on hotjobs and dept of labor. to see what are profitable jobs and if you need a degree. so many ppl have degrees they can't use ie, sociology. LOL

Never too late. The only thing that may have changed is the curriculum that you were working on. I say go for it, you still have plenty of time to accomplish what you want and still be successful in whatever you want to do.
