Barack Obama said that he would have wealthy Americans pay more into Social Security. Isn't social security insurance. The wealthiest Americans don't and will not need SS. Why doesn't he just call it a tax? Ah, the DEM-agogues.

What does he consider the wealthy? I've heard that $60k is wealthy. Maybe in the mid-west but in CA it's barely middle class.

Why should the "wealthy" pay into SS when they will never benefit from it? That isn't fair!!

EDIT - "clamback," you don't know anything! How can you say the wealthy don't pay taxes. They don't get the deductions that the average taxpayer gets. We have a wealthy client that pays more in state taxes than most people make. They are paying over 50% of their income on taxes! Stop saying stupid things when you are clueless on the subject!

The dems believe in the whole "share the wealth" concept. I have to say to some degree I agree with that statement. The difference is... I am for letting the wealthy choose whether or not they want to share that wealth and where they wish to share it. The dems demand more and more and they want it to fund their vote related social programs that fail miserably. The hypocrisy is huge too. Like when John Kerry opted to pay the lower tax on his returns and only donated a few hundred bucks to charities. Nice guy huh? Really stands on his principles.

And you know what else is interesting, who he is claiming is "wealthy" that money bracket is actually the middle class... Barack Obama really is no different then Hillary/Giuliani, if he stopped dodging questions and actually started addressing issues, more people would realize how much substance he lacks..

Yes. It is possible to delay retirement dates and adjust pension formulas to make Social Security viable forever without added taxes. I think both Demon-crats and Repulsive-cans are both using Social Security without caring if it is preserved or not.

The wealthiest Americans pay the least amount of taxes. Under Bush, they quadrupled their wealth, where the rest of the nation was lucky to have the same wealth, adjusted for inflation then in 2000.
