Is there a website that can give information about copyright owners?

I am trying to look for the copyright owner/s of some songs. Pop music category. Is there a website where I can get this info for free?

Go to www.copyright.gov for all info the US government has available. Or go to the Music Publisher's Assoc for music copyrights:
www.mpa.org/copyright_resource_center/

Most composers belong to ASCAP, BMI, or SESAC. All 3 have online searchable databases. That is a good place to start.
