RLP, all I can say is that they are a bunch of damn dummies. Chavez is South America's version of Robert Mugabe. Looks like my "must-see" movies just got reduced by a few.

Hugo Chavez is no fool, and he does plan ahead.
First, remember that he and Fidel Castro has endorsed Hillary and Obama, the two front runners.
As I see it, Hugo wants to help Hillary control the USA, and especially the US Military.
Hugo's money comes from "CITGO" his petroleum company here in the USA. IF Hillary, Obama, or another Democrat wins the election, HE WILL END UP WITH THE CONTRACT TO SUPPLY ALL - ALL OF THE US GOVERNMENT'S GASOLINE!!! Now, how does that fit your thinking?? Anytime HUGO does not like what the US Military is doing, he simply 'cuts off the supply', and even to replace that supply, will take WEEKS, AT BEST !!!!
If this does not fit your thinking, how about the US Big petroleum companies there now, in a major dispute with him, over their 'percentage's ' that he has cut them out of, after their multi billion dollars investments in seismic surveys, drilling, bringing in, pipe lines, refineries, transportation, etc.??
OOHHHH, and the limo-libs from Horrorwood, California: Just where do you think all of the multi-millions of dollars, they 'give' to the Democrats, come from???
WAKE THE HELL UP, FOLKS, THIS IS NOT - IS NOT - A CHILD'S PENNY ANTI GAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that people in general are sick and tired of Bush and his antics trying to just keep the price of oil rising through war. They are celebs and can use their power to try to convince those of us who are intelligent to make our own decisions which way the world should go with oil.
Chavez did one good thing when last winter he offered lower cost heating oil to those here who couldn't afford the prices due to the influx because of the war.
I don't know if I'd trust him. He kinda looks like a weasel and he has to be after more than helping the film commuity, our need for cheaper oil and conservation efforts. I see a sheep in wolf's clothing!!!

If you're a rich celebrity, you don't take to the streets in protest. Maybe once in a while, just for fun. More likely, you head for the most anti-American dictator you can find and have a photo op.

It just shows their "true colors". All they care about is making the big buck and filming in communist countries like vezenuella, thereby contributing to the dictatorial/communist ideology. They don't care where the money comes from. However, what we can do to send them a message is not watch their movies, or buy their useless products so we in turn don't contribute to stuffing their pockets. Their money comes from >us< supporting >them<. Kinda like a "high class welfare" system. Next time Britney Spears comes out with a CD or DVD with her "ho" outfits pimping our children--don't buy it. Same with Naiomi, or Kevin, or Robert Redford, or Rosie "the hater" O'Donnel, or Sean, or Danny ect... That way they can't support dictators like Hugo who in turn helps support "I'm a jihad" Amidinijad.

Again shows that Hollyweird has no idea on what government is and should be. Their supposed love for free speech praises those who limit all speech and advance socialism in their countries and denigrate the US.

The poor in Venezuela love Chavez, and rightly so. He came out of that same background, and once he achieved power he set about making Venezuela a country that was livable for all its people, rather than just the uber wealthy as had been the case before Chavez came along.
Chavez doesn't like Bush, for the same reasons that many of us don't like Bush. GW is anything but a "man of the people". He's a total sell-out to corporate America; a guy who does what is good for the wealthy but bad for American society as a whole.
Chavez has contempt for George Bush... but so do all ethical people everywhere.
