Adding to the discussion, I've never seen GB ranked anywhere near GB. GB is usually in the top 5 where KC is about 10-15. Besides the home court advantage, I agree that there is the short week team (GB) vs. the bye week team with extra rest (KC) that will give them KC the edge. However, that doesn't necessarily mean KC will win.

I wish I knew. I asked this same question about why Denver was favored over Green Bay. Green Bay beat Denver, and now they're underdogs against Kansas City.

And KC is not the better team. Green Bay beat San Diego too, and they're 6 - 1. They also beat Denver (AFC WEST), the Giants, and Washington. I don't understand what they have to do to get respect.

well...GB and KC both might have beaten SD but that doesn't make neither team better than SD. How ever the bottom line is SD lost to those teams.
Every week KC is giving a surprise by winning. I dont really know if I should pick kansas over GB?? .

As a Chargers fan I would like KC to loose so that we can move up the division with a win. Also not a big fan of cheeseheads.

I guess I will go with GB.
Not to mention it could go either way.I dont really think GB is a lot better than KC. Having a QB like Brett Favre, they have struggled in lots of games to win. KC doesn't have that good of a QB but still some how they are winnig.

GB has the edge.

You mentioned a few reasons why - the home field advantage at Arrowhead is probably the biggest reason - but lets also add that Green Bay has the worst rushing offense in the league. The teams that have beat KC this year had strong running games and ate up the clock on long, sustained drives behind their running backs. That's not something GB can do consistently.

Chiefs win by 6.

They're a winning team playing at a stadium where they've played well for a long time. They've got a road win against the Chargers in their pocket, and have won 4 of 5 since a rough start. The oddsmakers might also see this as a letdown game for the Packers.

All that said, I'm still a little surprised to see the Chiefs favored. But at a spread like 1.5 or 2.5, it's almost like they're leaving it as a tossup.

As someone said earlier, Packers are coming off a short week. Then you have to figure it was an emotional win plus KC was on their bye. They'll be more refreshed. It wouldn't surprise to see KC win, but barely.

the home team is usually favored by 3 points unless they are horrible or the other team is really good but the usual spread is 3 points, kc will lose this game and their old secondary will be exposed

CAUSE THERE A BETTER TEAM ~!~!

they beat SAN Diego on the road and are ON TOP not TIED for the AFC WEST ~ and they have been an underdog in all but one game this year and have gone under the radar for most of the season ,,in the power rankings there #10 and somehow SAN Diego and GB is above them However after they win SUNDAY they will probably jump to #5.........

give me a thumbs down if you think KC will win ~!

Because the Chiefs play very well at Arrowhead and the Packers are coming off a short week and are not great on the road against AFC teams as history has provided.

If the Chiefs play error free football then there's a chance they could win by a field goal.

What a bunch of immature azz babies! There really is no reason for the silly number of thumbs down on this question. You people really need to grow up.

You'd have to to be crazy to take KC over GB.

As long as Brett Favre puts on his cleats, there's always a probable chance for victory.
