Hi I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism about a year ago and all I do is take medications (Hormonal)..
(I am a 22 years old male by the way)

I wanted to know if there was something else that I could do
Like eat some certain foods that are good for the thyroid gland
or exercise the thyroid through yoga maybe?
Meditate, be one with God,..pray?

Can you please share with me anything other than eating the medications that you do for you HYPOthyroidism???

The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland that sits low on the front of the neck. Your thyroid lies below your Adam’s apple, along the front of the windpipe. The thyroid has two side lobes, connected by a bridge (isthmus) in the middle. When the thyroid is its normal size, you’re unlikely to be able to feel it.
All types of hyperthyroidism are due to overproduction of thyroid hormones, but the condition can develop in several ways.

If you have the mosty common form of hypothyroidism, called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, then diet, yoga, etc are useless. This disorder is an auto-immune disease, which means your own immune system is destroying your thyroid because it falsely senses it as an invader, like bacteria or virus invasions.

The only way to stop your immune system from doing this is to suppress the immune system, which leaves you vulnerable to all kinds of other diseases. So it's better to take thyroid hormone replacement; the pills take over the function of the damaged thyroid.
