For the pure sake of it's influence on great music today such as Wilco, and Radiohead, I would have to say the White Album. They really just put out an experiment that really took peoples breath away. It is an album that really doesn't have any kind of theme, it's just a huge album of songs that show the band in NO direction, other than to simply create. To me, as an artist myself, that is the purpose of art. Just create, and the White Album really backs this up. Fantastic record. If you listen to Wilco's last two albums, the White Album is certainly underneath the surface, and it is brilliant!

I don't think there is a "best" Beatles album, they all have great things about them, and are all really different, but my personal favourites are Abbey Road and Sgt Peppers.
