If you're up 38points and you have 7points remaining then your opponent can comeback. Who does not remember the Colts and Bucs on Monday Night Football? No team can overcome 21points with 3minutes remaining, right? Wrong. I do not think any NFL team will ever comeback from being down 45points with 5minutes remaining.

The first time one of their star players get hurt (Brady, Moss, Welker), the running-up-the-score BS will stop.

It's not so much the Patriots winning by so many points, I think it's because of the way the Patriots score on their first possession, and never let the other team get in the game. People like to think their team has a chance. Except for the Cowboys, no team has had a chance against the Pats. The cowboys had a lead for a short amount of time in the third quarter, but that just made the Pats crank it up a notch.

Think about it. If the worse thing you can say about the Pats is they cheat and they run up the score, then you're talking about a pretty good team. They play and win with class. They don't celebrate, or talk trash. The colts are doing the same thing, but not as well. When the Pats crush the colts, and run the score up, at their stadium, we'll start hearing about how they're too good, something needs to be done to prevent a team from getting so good. The NFL wants competition, not dynasties. That's what parity was suppose to bring, but it didn't work.

I could care less how many points they win by, and you're absolutely right 21 to 24 points isn't an insurmountable deficit with 3 to 5 minutes left on the clock. And I think most of the people who are whining about it being "classless" are crybabies. But there does come a point in the game where as long as your defense is holding up, throwing the deep ball isn't necessary. The big problem many people have with it is that it exposes the team to injuries unnecessarily. It'd really suck to win 52-7 but have the QB or best wide receiver get a season ending injury. I hope that doesn't happen but that's what would bother me if my team was "running up the score."

There's no class in running up the score when the game has been decided. The Patriots better be careful leaving Brady in the game when he's not needed. All it takes is one wrong play and he could be out for the season. And carma is a *****. So all I'm saying is, they better be careful.

For me, it's not really the point scoring...

I was disgusted when they went for it on 4th down. Absolutely disgusted. Completely unnecessary.

Plus, why leave your starters susceptible to injury? Pull them earlier (and no, not after the half) if you're winning by a large margin.

because they are all jealous and with it could be them, I love watching the patriots play and I'm not a pats fan, but they are the best team in footbal this season and for those complaining about them running the score then the other team should stop them, besides in the long run it will make that team a better team to have experienced that so they know what to expect in the future, football is cut thoat game kill them all and let the paramedics sort them out.

Because in a post-game interview with Tom Brady, he was clearly wearing purple lipstick.

Apparently, he also likes goats.

People cry about it, but here is some food for thought:

Redskins kicked an onside kick very late in that game. If the Redskins dont throw in the towel, than why should the other team stop playing? Redskins complained that brady hit moss for 30 yards late in the game, but the Redskins were blitzing. If your still gonna play on one side than the other team has no moral obligation to stop playing themselves. So if people want to complain that the Patriots are playing in a game thats over, why dont they complain when the losing team is still playing long after they say the game is over.

most true football fans that really know football will understand the importance of putting a team away. if you asked the houston oilers of their chance to put away the buffalo bills in the playoffs back in the 90's, i bet they would say they wished they had!

Who knows. But this is the NFL. Pro football. If you dont like it. Stop the other team simple as that. No other discussion just stop them.
