I believe it is going to happen.

It might happen, but he can't play for the guys. My Dodgers have made high profile hirings in the recent past that have done exactly nothing for them. Who wants to re-live Davey Johnson? I think the should've done everything they could've to hold on to Mike Scioscia. He has proven himself to be a winner, and he's still young enough to be a manager for longer than Lasorda was. Torre is a fine manager, no knock on him, I just feel like it won't make as much of a difference as everybody is making it out to be

It has not been confirmed yet but Little is gone and the Dodgers are in hot pursuit of Torre and a deal could be done in the very near future.

I do not think that they push Little out the door so quickly if they do not have a committment from Torre; they know that he will not only bring in a better clubhouse but he makes them have a better appearance to Free Agents. It is a shrewd but smart decision.

since you don't allow e-mail allow me to reply to your answer about Cleveland.

"Because there not that good they get lucky to get to the playoffs in the first place"

do you know anything about baseball, you obviously didn't watch their pitching performances all year or see them win against tough teams like the Tigers and Twins, or see them win the ALDS 3-1, not to mention had the ALCS in 7 games, so they weren't lucky to get in there.

As for Torre, I'm glad for him, I hope he does well and I'm glad he left after all the good years he gave the horroble Yankees, and he got them into the playoffs after being like 13 games down and they gave him an ultimatum, I would have turned the contract down too, I just wish he would have gone to Boston or another AL East team.

Happy Trails to him!....predict that he falls flat on his butt as he did on all of the other teams before the Yankees! Only hate that Mattingly is leaving the Yankees!....I understand that Mattingly's son in in the Dodger minor league chain!!

Torre deserves better than to end up at that gang infested Dodger stadium.

Well, it would be a good fit and Don Mattingly would go with him probably. Little resigned yesterday, so lets wait and see.
