If it came to giving up my first born, I would have to learn to walk long distances.

My first-born child...AND my second-born. And the mortgage on my house.

Egads, something has got to be done about gas prices!

It may be your first born child if they institute the draft again.

Why do you continue to punish yourself with the costs associated with purchasing gasoline? You know that this cost per gallon is only going to keep increasing, so when you or anyone continues to buy this fuel at the pumps, you know ahead of time that it isn't going to be cheap, but you still go and buy it, WHY?

Try using alternative energy sources, such as batteries and electricity for the primary propulsion system for your vehicle.

I can travel almost 245 miles on a single charge, and I can go from 0-60mph in less then 4.5 seconds, and I am using electricity for the fuel and not gasoline or diesel or any other type of fossil fuels.

There is one minor drawback, though! These electric powered vehicles do cost close to $100K each, and you can't finance them. So I guess the money that I would be saving by not using fossil burning fuels for the propulsion system of my vehicle is made up in the costs to own such a vehicle.

Perhaps as the technology advances, we can come down in prices for these vehicles, so that they don't cost you an arm, leg or your first born to own one. I can see the overall prices, within a couple of years being around $40K, instead of the original price of $100K, and that is a significant decrease in retail prices.

The next step in this new type of propulsion system is single and double engine airplanes, as they consume a lot of fuel for flight, especially during takeoffs. I don't think, nor do my engineers think, such a propulsion system would work for commercial jets, as they are very heavy in weight, but for smaller types of aircraft, including helicopters, this is the ideal propulsion system.

Tractor-trailer manufacturers would be the next practical marketing target for this system, as they too consume a great deal of fossil fuels in their daily operations, so perhaps my marketing team will get in touch with tractor manufacturers, such as Peterbilt, Kenworth and Freightliner.

My intention for designing, developing and marketing this new type of propulsion system is to:

1. Eliminate the needs in the daily transportation of using fossil type fuels.
2. Reduce or eliminate the high amount of pollutants escaping out the tailpipes into the atmosphere.
3. Create a living nightmare for OPEC!!!!

The next most practical step would be to get in touch with foreign governments(friendly to the US interests) and design a system that would also generate unlimited amounts of electricity for consumer use in operating their homes and businesses. Countries such as: Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany and a few others.(most of Yahoo's foreign markets for their Internet Services), then watch their stock value go through the floor in value per share!

Thank you,

Well, I'll put it this way. I have listed "gas" as an item on my Christmas "wish list". Maybe I'll get some.

I don't know and I don't care. I ride a bike. I only have to worry about the cost of food and water.

People who complain about gas prices are retarded. There is only a certain amount of oil in the world and it's running out because of our current consumption rates. There is nothing any government can do about it. Learn to live with it.

What's with the thumb downs? Do people have trouble facing the facts? No government can MAKE oil. No government can make oil cheaper. IT'S RUNNING OUT. Why is this so difficult to understand? Only something in plenty can be cheap. Potatoes are cheap because there's so much around. Iron is cheap because there's a lot of it. Gold is expensive because there's not much of it.
