Not necessarily. Are fathers that don't get custody unfit all of the time? No. Some of it is just what the judge feels is best.

Mothers who lose custody have been deemed unfit to care for their children by a court of law who knows the unique facts of each case. So I see no way to generalize on this topic. There are also opportunities for a mother to make appeals if her circumstances change---at least in the beginning---say in the case of a mother who was caught up in the drug culture or there were some major misrepresentations gong on about her. It's only frightening for the children, in my opinion. I'm not worried about women being taken to court who are normal, loving mothers who had done nothing wrong. The truth always wins out in the end.

I use to think mothers who lose custody were unfit but there are a lot of reasons some women are not mentally stable to care for their child or children and realize this. Other ex's income is significantly more than theirs they these women know that they can not care and give the children what they need. These women still have visitation with their children just like men do these women put the needs of their children first before the need of themselves wanting the children's to live with them. To me this is a mothers love

I haven't taken the time to read your article, yet, but i do not feel mothers who dont' get custody are "unfit".
Custody depends upon a lot of factors, and who is the most likely to nurture and care for the kids properly. Sometimes a man does a better job.

Not all mothers....When a parent loses custody it's not usually because they are unfit but, because the court has found them to be...Its sad when that happens because who knows whats best for their own children not the court system...They are not always right...

You misrepersented the article.
It is talking about women from abusive relationships, not ALL women that lose custody.
Yes this does happen. My ex was abusive and because he lied about me he got custody until it could be proven as false.

no I would say that the father is more able to take care of the children if the mother looses custody
