Nope. I think it is because Toby has to draw the line with Michael and he doesn't like anyone that tells him what not to do. I also think Michael might feel like Toby is a spy sent from corperate or something? Who knows what Michael thinks in his mind! lol.

Michael doesn't care for Toby because he's HR, which is corporate. As he said in Season 2, Toby isn't really part of the Scranton office family because he is corporate. And because Toby is divorced, he isn't part of his family, either.
I think the biggest reason he hates him is because he has to go through Toby for a lot of the things he wants to do. Usually Michael gets away with things, but not often.

No, but I think it's because Michael's such a free spirit and hates to play by the rules. And since Toby is HR and has to enforce the legal rules of the office, I think it sets Michael off (especially since Michael is the boss and wants to seem like more of the authority figure rather than being told what he "has to" do by Toby). That's just my thought! LOVE the show though! :)

I think it's because Toby actually works for corporate, so Michael isn't really his boss. The fact that he is HR, and plays by the rules only makes the situation that much more difficult for Michael.

It's never specifically stated. However, it's reasonable to assume that it's because Toby works directly for Corporate and is thus more willing to call Michael out when he's being stupid.

No. It's inferred that Toby does everything by the "rules" and Micheal tries to be fun and spontaneous. Therefore, they are opposites, and Michael hates him.
That show is so funny.
