I have not had this problem with my last internet provider

if you change for a new provider, check what they are offering, because cheaper providers means as well low speed internet, you get for what you pay!
If this is not the problem, check connections , wires, and settings if they are ok;
check as well for virus in your computer.
if the problem goes on, speak to your new provider and if they don't solve the problem go back to the last provider.

Check if your computer if there is a virus, the line is busy or the DSL is currenly down when you try connecting to the internet. Just be patient.

Check your computer specs for the amount of RAM memory it is.
Run a Spyware or virus check too.
Also it might depend on the connection settings for your ISP

You need to install Spyware : Search and Destroy and scan for spyware, and then do a virus scan. Spyware may be taking all your bandwidth when connecting to the internet.

It all depends on what kind of server you have. If you have dial-up you have to wait because that server may be full or busy. If you have dsl or broadband I would be on the phone with your provider. Good luck.
