I was working at a bar in Detroit & this mangy dog wandered into the parking lot. One of the valets came in and asked me if I could watch the dog for a minute because he was going to feed the dog, but he had to get some cars parked first. I went out and there was a black lab mix sitting out there happy as can be since he was getting some attention. I had just bought my house, so I ended up taking the mangy mutt home.
He's lived with me now for about a year and a half. When he first got here he tore up SOOO much stuff, but once all the furnature was moved in he was fine.
He's the best dog ever!!!!!!! lol, I love my doggy!!!

Well... this one Saturday at like 7AM or so, a knock came at my door. It was a man standing there in a nice black suite with a book and a newspaper in his hand... and I was like, "Crap... here we go with the Jehovah Witnesses again..."
Now, although that sounds bad, it is what I was thinking to myself and I am not going to sit here and lie. Plus, I am not one of those people who hide in their own houses when a Jehovah Witness comes by. I actually go to the door and respectfully tell the person that I have my own faith and I appreciate their efforts but I am not interested.
After all, I do not have an issue with what they are doing because they are only exercising their faith. It is just when 5 to 6 come to your door back to back; it can get a little frustrating. So anyways, I had my usual “thanks & decline” speech all ready and memorized, and that is what I was all ready to do, so I go – open the door – and immediately start saying my routine Saturday morning Jehovah’s Witness speech.
And then when I finish, (the guy has sat there for like 2 minutes and listened to all this mind you), he then says, "Well I am a Jehovah's Witness... and I thank you for being so nice in your decline. BUT, I was not coming to talk to you. I was just walking by and noticed your car lights were on and thought I would let you know. Also, I picked up your newspaper for you since it was sitting in your driveway."
I was like... "Uhmmm... thanks...LOL" It was so funny! ^_^
That reminded me how you should never assume and that kindness rewards kindness! So yeah... there is a totally random memory. Ha Ha! Cheers!

Coming home from school at this time of year and walking in to the beautiful smell of home baking, my mom would have her parkin cooking away in the oven a few days before bonfire night, always tasted better for the keeping.

When I was 5 my older brother caught a wasp in a cassette case. When he let it go, it ignored him and chased me for about 20 minutes. It has left me with a very bad phobia of wasps, thats why I look forward to the winter.

My mom flipping over the kitchen table in a rage and crying on the floor.
Now I think I can relate and understand how she got to that point of frustration.

i was in the fourth grade and i was sitting next to my friend Erin. well she offered me some chap stick (we shared these kinds of things no big deal) well after i put it on i realized by its extreme stickiness that it was a glue stick disguised to look like chap stick.
i was a little ticked and i couldn't say anything about it! :)
