The working poor know what it's like to Rob Peter to pay Paul. I have never blown me house note money, but sometimes keeping the gas on, or eating is more important than a late charge from the mortgage company.

I had just been payed from a job .Wanted to go to a dodgy place so I left the most money in the car,in a news paper. When I got back I decided to roll a ciggie up,so pulled the paper from under the passenger seat, put it on my knees and went about my business. The bits of tobaco that used to fall on the paper,I used to just open the door and chuck them out!You won't believe.....as I did that,it was windy out,and I had forgoten the wad of crispy notes hiding in the paper.I seen it like in slow motion, about 900 £ flew out of the paper and started rolling about 3 meters off the ground. My luck was that after flying for a bit the wind pushed them in the gutter and they got stuck between the road and car tyres,of the parked cars on both sides of the road.I never forget looking at the face of a driver comming down the road, looking at this money-rain.Believe it or not I only managed to lose 10 £.Even when I told my wife then (ex now thanx ! ) even her ,could not believe me,thought I was pulling her leg.And yes,at those times ,it was mortgage money !!!!

Many years ago when we were first married we spent our mortgage money on Christmas pressies and extra luxuries, struggled for the rest of the year to get our finances right again and we never did it again, lesson learnt the hard way.

I did and I had to double up a mortgage payment which made it ruff. WAS very short on money for a few months afterwards. NOT worth it. I will never ever do that again.

I've blown the rent money on other stuff a number of times and always been sorry. It's why my landlord has taken me to court at least 6 times. I try not to do that anymore.

That would be a never for me. The only way that would ever happen would be if I made a ghastly math error on my account and I pray that never happens. Eeeeeek!
