"Hangikjöt" (smoked lamb, served cold) is very good. Grilled lamb leg is good too. Lamb meat cooked in various ways is very common and popular in Iceland.
Fish is also an important part of Icelandic cuisine. Haddock is the most common fish in Icelandic cuisine but Icelanders eat many other types of fish, cooked in various ways.
Then there is the dairy product "skyr", which is also very popular.
Many of our national foods (often referred to as "Ãorramatur") taste good to us Icelanders, but foreigners tend to not like them very much.
