It is not too late. An MRI will let you know what damage has been done to your knee.

I genuinely have had knee issues when you consider that 1987. First, a torn ACL and then a cartilage/menicus tear. i ultimately had to have surgical technique for the two injuries. i could advise which you visit an orthopedic healthcare expert and get his/her advice, and likewise have an MRI performed on your knee. often the torn cartilage should be bumped off and smoothed out. Your extreme exercising consultation could be doing greater injury than sturdy, so additionally ask your wellness care expert how a lot and how much exercises you're able to be doing. lots of human beings visit a knowledgeable actual therapist after surgical technique. Squatting is definitely one of the worst issues you're able to do to your knees.

I have the very same problem. I tore the cartilage (meniscus) in my right knee about three months ago. When it hadn't healed on its own, I went to my family doctor who ordered x-rays--which was a waste of my time and money since they don't show soft-tissue damage. I needed an MRI. When my doctor referred me to an orthopedic specialist, I got the necessary MRI and it revealed two small tears. The orthopedist wants to go in and clean up the torn areas via arthroscopy. I am putting it off until I can put my garden to bed for the winter. The doctor said that was fine but in the meantime, he has me on daily medication (Naprozen) to reduce the pain and swelling. He drained most of the fluid off while in his office, plus he gave me a shot of cortisone in the joint. The shot hurt like hell but my knee felt a lot better.
So, no it's not too late to seek treatment and it reads as if you're in worse shape than me. I can walk pretty good and the pain is relatively small. Good luck to ya'!

Time to see your Dr. They may order a MRI ( a special xray that concentrates on specific sections) Then may order some physical therapy or other treatment depending on the test results.
