I must have missed the announcement, when did San Antonio, Dallas, and Phoenix move to the eastern conference?

Denver has some great personel. I think alot will depend on Chucky Atkins' performance. They'll need a floor general that can distribute and control the pace. Iverson is much better suited for SG, imo. I think Carmelo will have an awesome year. He's really taken some big maturation steps this offseason. They are a legit threat.

The nuggets can win the West Kmart is a great defender. Carmelo is a hard Matchup for anyone in the west and they have solid players around him including the reigning defensive player of the year in Camby and Nene coming off the bench. The biggest question with the Nuggets is can the stay healthy, if this happens they Will definetly be in contention to be western conference champs.

on paper, denver is a dangerous team. melo will get his, camby (if he can stay healthy really helps the team on the boards and defensively, iverson...is well, iverson. enuff said. if k-mart can get back close to the form that he was in new jersey...they have a good chance to go deep in the playoffs
with that being said, it always looks like this team runs into a spurs team that always derails them.

I agree with Fizzer. Steven A Smith is a moron and will say what ever he needs to so that he can stand out. MARK MY WORDS he will change his mind and say that they won't represent the west but that they can make a solid 6th maybe 5th seed, BUT will NOT beat the Spurs Suns or Maverics, hell even the Jazz.

you have to get out of the first round of the playoffs first. something that they haven't done in a while. denver's record in the last three seasons in the playoffs is something like 3-12, right? it would help alot if the nuggets also manages to avoid san antonio, their opponent in the first round the last 3 years i think. definitely the last 2. besides, there's still phoenix, dallas, and now houston and utah to think about. and in a few years, portland and maybe *insert city* supersonics too.

Yes, without any injury Denver got a very good chance to win the Champ, they got tons of talents and different skill.

you're forgetting that steven a smith is a complete idiot. just listen to him talk for three seconds. and notice he didn't say they WOULD represent the west but that they have a legitimate chance? yea, i can agree they have a legitimate chance, he can't be wrong regardless of what they do. however, you've got san antonio, phoenix, dallas, and utah. maybe they can upset one of those teams but that's it.
