Open the drawers, and look for where the moving parts are located. Put a little bit of lube there.

I'd be careful about putting too much on, though. You don't want it dripping off and onto your documents. If it's not enough, you can always add a little more. I'd try a little bit of powdered graphite, or maybe white silicone lube, or even motorcycle chain lube. I'm not fond of stuff like WD40 for this - it doesn't seem to work as well.

Filing Cabinet With Drawers

First, be sure that it is indeed the slides that are sticking, and not the drawer fronts rubbing, if that is the case, and the slides are wheel and track, not ball bearing, bend the track the direction you need to with a pair off needle nosed pliers, be sure not to over-correct. If the slides are ball bearing, or WD-40 doesn't work, it may be time for a shiney new cabinet.

The files inside have shifted covering the tops of the drawers maybe? If you can't get the thumb latch thingy to budge tilt it back towards it rear which should get the files to move toward back of drawer. If no thumb latch, grab the handle in front and Jiggle side to side while pulling hard! Butter knife helps to move things around too. Good luck and sorry to hear of your troubles.
