Why are so many people ready to jump on the bandwagon and bash her? Make fun of her handicap? How rude.

It seems to me that I have learned something about Brits. So many of you are ready to condem people who are down on their luck. The newspapers are vicious and will print anything without proof. I would think they spend millions of dollars a year in liability settlements.

Paul McCartney was right, he doesn't even look at the press.
I can see why.

I am NOT talking about Heather's handicap,I am in the USA no one has made fun of her handicap here in the papers, and I think the British papers were kind to her too, she had to have known marrying Paul she would be in the public eye and Heather once said she doesn't want anyone to feel sorry for her being handicap, but I have been a Beatles fan for years and when Heather said "Being married to Paul was more painful then having my leg amputated" I have to stick up for Paul and say how horrible of her to say that! There are a LOT of woman who'd give anything to marry him! I heard she wanted to make a film on her and Paul but part of the divorce settlement was not to publicize their marriage in books or film. She got more money then any divorce settlement in the British history WHY? Sorry but she should have not gotten all that money! She did not appreciate him. You can tell she is a little off mentally! Linda was a saint, it is so sad she died, Paula and Linda were HAPPY for 30 years.

I agree with the question, her handicap does not make her a bad person, however I do this she is greedy. Paul offered her £50. million in settlement. That is a huge amount of money in anyone's standards She turned it down and wanted £70 million. I think that speaks for itself.

all down to media and people wanting to believe all the crap they read/hear.They dont know that the papers put articles out just to sell ,sell ,sell.I just read the jobs ads and do the crossword !I dont ever watch tv.That's an insult to mentality. They open the news here in England, and if there is no news we hear first item :''Victoria Becham has bought a pair of new panties'' !!!!!!!! And we have to pay 130£ a year for that !!!

yeah, nobody should be making fun of her handicap. What happened to her can happen to ANY of us ANY day now. We could wind up being her.

As far as her asking for 100 mil - i don't respect her for that. I don't think she was with him long enough to get that much money. I do think she should get millions, but 100??? Come on, she can raise her child better than about 99% of people with 10 million or less!

But then, again - that's just my opinion - it's really none of our business

I find jokes about her disability somewhat distasteful, but she brings it on herself by overcoming it when she wants publicity (Celebrity come dancing or whatever you call it over there) and using it when she wants sympathy (turning up at court in a wheelchair).

The other problem is that Paul is an unofficial National Treasure over here and she has been acting like a gold digger demanding unfeasibly huge amounts of money in the divorce settlement.

I think a lot of ppl bash her because she puts herself out there to be bashed. Why would a person with one leg go on Dancing with the Stars? To get attention, and with attention and publicity comes negative attention and publicity. People, the press, the media, society, whatever, pick on all ppl who put themselves out there, why should she be different? Unfortunately, women with disablities or who look different are way more likely to be made fun of than men with the same.
