While my son was going to daycare, we used Avent. It seemed the best for switching back and forth from the breast to the bottles. I have absolutely NO complaints about Avent, but have had complaints about every other bottle that we've tried.

Avent's sippy cups make it easy to transition my son to cups. They have handles that are removable and can be switched out with a bottle nipple to get him used to the idea before giving him the spout.

I hope this helps. Congrats on your decision to breastfeed. It's the best decision to make regarding the nourishment of your child.

I breastfeed my ds whom is 7 mths old now. I've discovered the Avent bottles and LOVE them. I think they work very well for switching back and forth because of the way the nipple differs than other brands. The bottle itself is wider also, which helps w/ the baby being able to hold it easier/quicker - and easier cleaning! They also have sippy cup spouts that are FULLY ADAPTABLE to your bottles!!! So so awesome!

I used other bottles w/ my 2 additional kids that I also breastfed (one 6 mth, the other 1 year). For them at the time, I liked the playtex (bagged) brand.

I breastfed but swapped to formula at 8mths and liked the 'Pur' brand or 'Avent' brand. Also like the look of the curved bottles but not sure how they fit in a bottle warmer bag. Just make sure the replacement teats are readily availbable and change them every few months as they do wear out and the babies grow out of the them and need the next size for better flow.

Avent worked fine, although they do leak fairly regularly. I LOVE Dr. Brown's bottles--the wide neck and the regular. They do require quite a bit of assembly, but it's done in ten seconds and all of the parts are able to be tossed right into the dishwasher. Best bottle on the market, hands down!

playtex nursers have a nipple that is most natural both in and out of the mouth, plus you can remove the air from the bottle. I switched to them after buying a bunch of avent bottles and my daughter experiencing horrible gas.

We used the playtex nurser system, with the drop in liners. We didn't breastfeed however. These bottles worked well for us as they helped eliminate gas. You can get all of the excess air out of the bottle before giving to baby. They are cheap and easy to clean as well.

many breastfed babies around me who use occassional bottle use the Avent ones.

The boy I babysit who is nursed by mom and I bottle feed him thawed "momsicles" started off with the Avent ones, but he really doesn't care anymore... right now he's on a cheap dollar store regular shaped bottle.

For my daughter we used the Playtex liner bottles... but not very frequently.

I only breastfed for about 6 weeks due to personal issues, but I was fond of the Evenflo classic line of bottles, and will be using them with my next child as well.
