Especially the cut-and-paste kind, or rants?

By "cut and paste" I was referring to mile-long quotations from online sources, but I see some people have actually been pirating others' answers. I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...

Most answers should be a paragraph or two long.If they are on and on and on with 3-4-5-6 web links to go to I will give it a thumbs down.Too much of an answer is a rant.

Some people almost write a book or cut and paste it from elsewhere,if it looks interesting I will read the whole thing but I never thumbs down as everyone has a right to their opinion.

Rants I thumbs down. Cut n pastes I ignore unless they fail to answer the question.

I only thumbs-down the answers that are stupid and don't have anything to do with the question that was asked. I hate point-hogs that don't know why they are here. But mile long answers that actually answer the question or show an example of the situation are okay.

I ignore the "War and Peace" answers. If I agree with someone I give them a thumbs up. If I disagree I do nothing unless their answer is mean spirited and then and only then do I give them a thumbs down.

Definitely "cut-and-paste".
I think it's great when people put a little effort into a longer, more thoughtful answer... as long as they remember there's something called a paragraph...

Nope. Instead I change to another question. Even one time a user copied my answer and pasted it as his answer, I leaved it as it is. And I was only hoping he felt satisfied of doing it.

Is that a suggestion? I'll be brief.

That's all I will say.
