you won't check it manually as these programs work silently in a background and there's no way to notice their activities. but you can run an antispyware scan, if you don't use it, here are some free antispyware downloads: http://www.2-spyware.com/compare2.php

There are 3 very good free programs out there:

1. Superantispyware
2. A-Squared Free 3.0
3. Spyware Terminator

Try them and pick the 2 you like the best.

Any program installed on your computer will show up in the program that runs after start-up. Click on Start, Programs, or All Programs and it will show up there. Or, click on STart, Settings, Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs. Look closely at everything installed on your computer and if you find something you KNOW you didn't install, uninstall it, then restart the computer.

And you probably should get anti-spyware installed, if you don't have it. You can get it at download.com,

Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

Ad-ware detectors may not find a key logger so download a copy of :- KL-Detector

The are numerous on-line sites that have it, Google will find them

Check your Control Panel
Check your Registry (You can use some registry softwares like RegCleaner 4.2)
