Yes, assuming that each person has a recessive gene for blue eyes. There's a 25% chance of a blue eyed baby in this situation.

Yes if there are blue eyed people in their extended families. In other words if grandparents had blue eyes then genetically it is possible for two brown eyed parents to have a blue eyed baby.

Yes, my husband and I both have brown eyes. Our son is 6 and he is a blonde haired and blue eyed. Our daughter is 5 1/2 months her eyes were brown with a tinge of blue when she was born, by 3 weeks they were brown and brown hair. My mom has green/blue eyes and dad has hazel eyes. Mother in law has blue eyes and my late father in law had brown.

Yes, they can, and this actually follows the most simple rules of genetics. Blue eyes are, generally speaking, recessive to brown eyes. Say "B" is a gene for brown pigment and "b" is a gene for no pigment (default blue). Now, everyone has two genes for each trait, one from Mom and one from Dad. So people who have the gene combination BB or Bb have brown eyes, because their cells are making at least some brown pigment. Only people who have genes bb have blue eyes. (This is a simplification, but it works for our purposes.) Suppose that the two parents have:

Man = Bb

Woman = Bb

Their child receives one gene from each parent, and therefore could be BB, Bb, or bb. So you see that under these circumstances, they could easily have a blue-eyed baby!

Yes. My brother and his wife are both dark haired and brown eyed. Both their kids have blue eyes and red/blond hair. Remember also, all babies are born with blue eyes.

Yes they can. Although, if you ask my father-in-law they can't. We got into a hot debate before my son was born about whether or not he would have blue eyes (I have brown, my husband blue) and my FIL said that it's impossible to have a blue eyed child. I had to laugh to myself... seeing as my FIL has brown eyes and all of his children have blue...

Yes, blue eyes could be a recessive gene in either of the parent's genetics.

My husband and I both have brown eyes, yet our first son has light blue eyes. It's kinda funny how people look at us when they see his eyes...they always ask how he got them!

My husband's family has blue eyes, but my family does not, so both parents don't necessarily need to have this trait in their family.
