yes, its been frosty in the mornings for almost 2 weeks now

We've had frost on the ground in the morning for about a week here in Southern Ontario. My Dad said his golf game was delayed an hour Monday morning because of frost. The starter won't let you play if there is frost because it damages the grass if you walk on it at that time.

Go to the hardware store and get a roll of black plastic. Cover the ground where you've seeded with it. That will hold in the heat and keep the frost from your seeds. We plant our plants and some seeds (squash, pumpkins, and cucumbers) under black plastic anyway, just cutting X's where they go, to keep in heat and moisture and keep out weeds. Some seeds will be OK with the frost, though, especially root crops like carrots, turnips and radishes, plus lettuce and peas. They won't need any special treatment.

Yes Gem there was frost on the ground this morning, and yesterday morning also, old man winter is coming to get us, but the day got beautiful yesterday, and I am sure it will today, once the sun starts shining bright....Have a wonderful day, you are terrific!
