I know the Germans built plenty of underground fortresses, steel reinforced and evreything, but i don't think they ever built an underground airstrip. Hitler was a little cheap, and i see a project like that costing quite a bit of money!!

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.
According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

Towards the end of the war, many German industies moved under ground. The famous Me262 (fighter jet) was build in such a factory.
But there were no airstrips under ground. They were over ground as they are today.

They did build massive underground shelters for their V2 Rockets - literally wheeling them out from the hillside and into the open to fire them. However this system came to late and I believe the sites were overrun by ground forces.
Over 3,200 V2's were fired during WW2.
They also had mobile V2 launchers.

No, but they did use underground caverns for storage of their war booty and some vital productions, like the heavy water program.
Japan also moved some aircraft production to the safety of underground caverns.
