I know there were already questions like this, but the answers were mostly giving evanescence, pop or metal songs.

I'll be specific for the kind of songs that I like.
something in the style of:
Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
Wonderwall - Oasis
74' 75' - The Connells

so, I mean, quality sad-feeling rock songs.

no nickleback, MCR, FOB and such please.

Thank you!!

Try to following

Landslide - Fleetwood Mac (yes, female singer, but worth it)
Perfect - Smashing Pumpkins
Disarm - Smashing Pumpkins
Don't Let the Sun go Down on Me - Elton John
Hate me - Blue October
Best of You - Foo Fighters (may not have the exact feel that you're looking for, as it is both discouraged and inspiring)
Hey You - Pink Floyd
Fix You - Coldplay
Cut Here - The Cure
Volcano - Damien O
Maps - Yeah Yeah Yeahs (surprisingly good)
Two Steps Behind - Def Leppard
Behind Blue Eyes - The Who
Free Bird - Lynard Skynard
Fire and Rain - James Taylor
Crash Into Me - Dave Matthews Band
In Your Eyes - Peter Gabriel
End of the Innocence - Don Henley
Hole in the World - The Eagles
Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton
Change the World - Eric Clapton
Fields of Gold - The Police (the Police have quite a few)
Until I Hear it From you - Gin Blossoms
Until I Fall Away - Gin Blossoms
Hey Jealousy - Gin Blossoms
Counting Blue Cars - Dishwalla
Cumbersome - Seven Mary Three
Better than Me - Hinder
Stellar - Incubus
I Miss You - Incubus
Why Georgia - John Mayer
Mr. Brightside - Killers (not fond of, but you may like it)
Special K - Placebo
Losing My Religion - REM
Walk On - U2
One - U2
With or Without You - U2
Santa Monica - Theory of a Dead Man
Only Fools Rush In - UB40
Give You Back - Vertical Horizon
You're a God - Vertical Horizon
Grey Sky Morning - vertical Horizon (quite sappy, though)
Hold Me Now - Thompson Twins (or Wayne Wonder cover)
Here I Go Again - Whitesnake
Blackbird - Beatles (Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters does a great short cover of this, too)
Ta Douleur - Camille (if you can find it. It's French.)
Fall to Pieces - Velvet Revolver
Falls on Me - Fuel
Hemmorage (in my hands) - Fuel

Not quite sure if all of these meet your criteria, but they all have a strange way of resonating in the mind. Good luck - I hope this helps.

Hahaha@ Mommy to be's answer. Really made me giggle. Well as I kept thinking about your question, I had to try it out. I put three happy songs on LOL And well, didn't make me sad. BUT that is because (and I guess) I haven't had any sad memories towards the songs. If I put a happy song that brings any kind of memories, then yeah, I'll most likely become gloomy for like five minutes. Just because I know those times won't come back. But we will always have space to make new ones.
