I said that 19 years ago. That was the year I did a little burnout at the job, from rushing, doing last-minute stuff for my unorganized boss. It took me one year to recover, and I was lucky it was not a major burnout.

Now I always make sure I have a back-up at work, and I tell my colleagues where my stuff is or I make it easy to find. And I say "no" when I know I will not be able to make it.

I typed my job description in details on a document that is saved on the server, in case something happens to me and I cannot show up at work. I made the suggestion that everybody at work do the same.

In a conference about co-dependency, I realized that I had the tendency to do everything for everybody because I wanted to "save" everyone from themselves, i.e. try to cover up where they left off so everything would continue to be all right. No more for me. Life is so much easier now, LOL

Almost every day.

I'm so under-appreciated, it's like I'm invisible sometimes.
