Propranolol (inderal) vs IMAO (nadril)?

I'm on propranolol (inderal) for PTS dissorder & migranes, im taking about 30mg. daily.

On the prospect it says that inderal should never be mixed with any IMAO but it doesnt mention the reason (antidpr.) but i want also to take Nardil (as i was prescpr. for Insomnia)

If propranolol lowers blood pressure and nardil highers it,but i need to take them both.

What is your oppinion ? I need a good answer

You need to ask this question of your doctor and pharmacist who will consult together to decide if it is safe to take both, whether you need to lower the dose of one of them or if there are alternative drugs that will not interact.

Propanolol is a beta-blocker by category and mainly used for hypertension(not the first choice) and migranes. Also they are prescribed for PTS disorder as in your case but use is on experimental stage only.
Propanolo should not be prescribed with drugs who causes hypotension.
Nardil( chemically phenelzine) is a MAO inhibitor used mainly in treating depression and anxiety disorders. Its major side effect is orthostatic hypotension.
So I think u should stop one of them. I think if your depression is treated with propanolol, then automatically your insomnia will be cured.
pls check these links, u will get lot of information about these salts.
