many times i feel like my life is worthless or in other words i dont really have a life. I try to make things better by trying more, like taking better hygiene practices, doing my work, talking, and lots of things. for that short time i feel a little sense of happiness, but it soon fades back to before when something bad happens or for no reason. i cant seem to keep it up.im 17 in high school, but dont tell me i have time to change things. give me real answers so i can actually change my future. saying things like having time or dont worry are just answers from procastinators who cant answer.

See a doctor, please. You may be experiencing a medical condition, and the doctors can help by working out what is wrong, and helping you re-balance so you get more out of life. It could be depression, stress, hormone imbalance, or something as easy as needing a better diet and a vitamin supplement. The doctor will be able to guide you to whatever help you may need. At the very least, its a good way of ruling out a physical cause for your malaise.

Guess what, time DOES change things. Time is the reason you end up feeling good, feeling bad, etc etc. However, I won;t lie, it'll take ALOT of time to change, and during this "change" you'll hardly notice it, only to be acknowledge by those around you that maybe one day will make the comment "Hey, you know you've actually chagned alot in the past couple of (months, days, weeks, even years). Teens are still very hormonal, meaning alot (not all) of what you feel is the hormones your body is producing, not to mention the feeling of fitting in, how your peers judge you, etc. Changing little things for a day or so wont go ahead and change your outlook on life. Can't expect to change little things like hygiene practices for a total life turn about, or a change in way of how you are seeing life now. I know what you're going thru, i've been there, and i have to say high school SUCKS. One day you're the happiest person, next day you end up feeling like sh*t for no particular reason, and more time then not bad things happen to good people. However, between my soph year to now my soph year in college, it's more leaning to the positive end. I feel more productive, that things i'm doing ACTUALLY matter and I get the feeling that what i'm doing now is DIRECTLY related to my future (y'know, cuz i'm taking classes for my career choice). So literally, it is going to be time, but its going to be one hell of a wait.

Look at the penny method. Every year of your life is a penny in a tower, then when u have a real bad time you get a bad penny, but everytime you have even a slight bad moment later inlife, you go straight back down to that really badpenny and ypuyu think of all the things that could be wrong and what has hurt you in the past. Now you are aware of this then things can maybe get easier, think back to if something in your past is upsetting or bothering youm, and then you can begin to sort that. with an abortion, visit the grave when the person feels down, for example. I hope this helps, you can email me if you would like to talk further. X

I'm 40 and I sometimes feel like this, alot lately. But I don't give up because I know there is something good around the corner that s gonna happen for me someday. Really I shouldn't have any complaints because there are so many that are worse off then me. Take life as it comes at you. sometimes good and most of the time bad. Not really... Make it the best you can and deal with it I guess. The way I look at it is, if you give it the best you can offer, what more can it ask of you.

Go to your doctor and have them do a test on you to see if you have depression because it is not uncommon for teenagers to have depression. Or you can set realistic goals and contrate on accomplishing them. I would recommend going with the first option and then do the second option.

With you being 17 and in high school you could possibly be worrying about how your life will change once you graduate, because you go from being a kid to an adult.

Find a goal something you really would like to achieve.
work out the minor goals or steps to this dream goal and then put your self to action.

Make it something that may take few years to achieve.
an Occupation perhaps or a course. invest in something like property or stocks. Or even a hobby.
even charity.
