Yes, I sure do. That's one program I always loved to watch
with my family growing up and later when I was married. I
loved to see them surprise the celebrity with the book of,
"This is your Life". And the guests who would be brought onto
the stage after speaking off stage to them first. It gave us a
chance to see and hear the celebrities act more natural than
onscreen in a role. I remember the show with Lou Costello
and his family. I don't remember if he had kids tho. But
he was a big supporter of poor kids who were unable to play
in sports teams without uniforms and such. And he helped
them with sports supplies and uniforms and maybe he had
an actual boys club he'd founded. It's been too long to re-
member. But he felt more achievement from helping these
once unfortunate boys, than what he'd done as a comic for
years in movies and on stage. That was the one outstanding
show I remember seeing. Tho I tried not to miss any of them.
I was a fan of the Abbott and Costello movies and still am.

I remember seeing the first one ever, when Eamonn Andrews was the subject of the programme. He came with Freddie Mills, thinking that Freddie Mills would be the person picked on and appeared genuinely amazed to find himself confronted instead with the story of his own life!

Yes, I remember us all gathering around our console B&W television set, eagerly awaiting Ralph Emerson's entrance, to be followed by him waving that great whacking heavy book, and intoning "(insert name here), THIS IS YOUR LIFE!"

I actually even remember one episode where they did "This is Your Life" ABOUT Ralph Emerson...just before the series ended!

Yes, I remember "This Is Your Life". I always imagined that my warlock father would be reunited with the grand-warlock. Then I would cackle until tears ran down my nose and dripped off my chin. hee hee

I do!! I loved that show hosted by Ralph Edwards! They'd have the person sit in a chair on stage and voices from behind stage would say memorable things about them, then later come out...and surprise the person. Wish it would come back! :-)

Yes, my mom also watched that one. It was neat the way they'd bring out folks from you past.
