Let me tell you. It was not bad performance or poor form. You can't judge the form of a person who was made to play a scapegoat role. During England series, he himself chose to bat in situations where he had to score fast and he did. He had the best strike rate than even Yuvraj Singh. He could have batted like at No. 3, took his own time like Tendulkar or Ganguly and scored 50+ in each Innings just to keep his place safe. But he tried to play according to the situation.

Even, he never complained when he was asked to go at No: 6, No:8 etc., positions during Australia series. He was sent like a pinch-hitter. It's pure mis-use of his capabilities. It's like asking a gold smith to do the job of a carpenter!!!!

So, looking at the scores is foolish to judge form. Look at the situations.

Physically, he is much fitter than Ganguly and Tendulkar. Ganguly can't run for more than 1 run in between the wickets. Tendulkar will develop cramps once he crosses 40. Dravid still sprints like an youngster in the field.

It's a pure conspiracy. Remember the winning stream we had against pakistan, srilanka, England when Dravid took over?. We forgot all of it. We lost few games in South Africa. Vengsarkar came in and hurriedly brought Ganguly back that disintegrated the team again. Dravid got no chance to gather his team anymore and it was clear from stupid comments from Zaheer and others during England series. So, he lost the interest and he resigned.

You wanted to see the bad form?. Watch Ganguly in the 7th ODI against Australia. He struggled like a small kid. He got out for almost every ball.

If Ganguly is in his position, probably he would started another controversy. Remember when he was asked to quit as a captain? He made Greg a scapegoat.

There is no room for professionals in India. We all like ad-hoc kind of behaviours. You see it everywhere.. Traffic, queues, bandhs, harthals.. pathetic mentality and it prevails even in cricket.

Rahul is a victim of the Mumbai lobby who just want to promote Sachin Tendulkar at the expense of the whole team. This lobby comprises of Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin himself.

You just have to listen to Ravi and Sunil on TV. They are so miserly with praise for cricketers other than Sachin and infact will magnify their mistakes. The same yardstick will not apply to Sachin who is a "Little Master" for them

This trio is involved in making a mess of the lives and careers of any upcoming cricketers who they consider to be a threat to Sachin. The list is endless - Vinod Kambli, S.S.Das, Sanjay Manjrekar, Saurav Ganguly, Mohammed Kaif, Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman and so on...

They are a menace to Indian cricket and should not be allowed anywehere near a cricket field.

HE himself to be blamed for this and I guess he deserve this. He resigned just beofre a important game of team INDIA and making moral effect on the players. THe effect was so much on the team that whole team struggled to win that match from PAKISTAn. It is secondry that the match turned to be a thriller and would be remembered in cricket hisotry

Well what goes around comes around too, don't you think is my point.

He was instrumental in removing Saurabh Ganguly from Captaincy; when latter was not performing well.
It is his turn now. He was not such a good Captain and was not performing too.
he should rest, get back his form and then bat again.
