Usaisthebestest.. The Camera doesn't lie my dear. The photo's of 6 police men, including Rebelo, carrying out a 3 hour reconstruction are there for you to see. Sorry that it's not the headline you wish to hear. However, it is indeed a fact. A reconstruction has been taken place, yesterday at the Ocean Club.

PJ are following all lines of investigation. They have been criticized for not following other leads....eventually it will come back to the parents....

This reconstruction SHOULD have been done months ago...along with the help of ALL the people who were present on May 3rd....EVERYONE involved should have been brought right back to the Ocean Club including every member of staff and visitor !
I know many if not most reconstructions are done using actors..but in this case with the exception of Maddie herself, the actual people ARE available and surely this would have brought closure to some of the rumours, speculation and lies regarding as to what exactly did happen that night...including the time line of events as told by the people themselves!
However just because the PJ's have done this reconstruction in a fashion and i still think its a little farcical...does not lead me personally to believe that their views have changed in the slightest!
It seems to me that Sr Rebelo is simply doing exactly what he promised to do when he took over the case..which was to look at every single detail and option again, and to follow every conceivable theory !
I personally don't think for one single moment that the reason for the reconstruction is because they now hold a different opinion...I've watched the News on this story just this morning..and all i see is something that should have been done within weeks if not days of Maddie's disappearance !

This reconstrucion doesn't really prove what the police were looking for. they may well have been using it to test out the plausability of all theories. As usual, everyone is jumping to conclusions they want to see, be it that the reconstruction shows that the police now believe the abduction theory, or that they are showing that the abduction theoryt is not possible.
Me? - I've always felt that the Mccanns have not hurt their daughter, however I not KNOW this, and really feel that we have to take everything written in the papers with a pinch of salt!

The Portugese Police may have acted incompetently throughout the investigation but as I am sure most of us are aware the holiday resort the McCanns were staying in does not have a high volume of vanishing children. Yes they should have done things differently and maybe now they are trying to see all angles..... At the end of the day something very wrong happened that night.......I only hope we can all have the answers we want!

One thing is bothering me why did the police pass a "bundle" out the window when at the beginning of the investigation they discounted that theory and said the abducter took her out the front door which was unlocked.Now remember back the Mc canns said she was taken out the window but then a while later it all came out about the door being unlocked.I wonder did he do 2 reconstructions or are they actually believing the Mc canns now it's definately wierd

All I have to say is that when the anti McCanns asked a question on here about something that was said against Kate and Gerry, the pros told us "you can't believe everything you read in the mirror"..or .."you read that in the Mirror?..Hmm ok then"

They are doing reconstructions to decide what options are actually plausible.
All I know is if she is currently being abused by a perv gang in Morocco its dreadful to think a child has been abused for 6 months and is still suffering thanks to being left unwatched for hours every night. There is a valuable parenting lesson there. What a high cost. Personally I couldn't sleep if that were my child and I believed that was the case, let alone go out and play golf and tennis and set up a website.

Of course it's equally likely that the reconstruction may prove that the abduction couldn't have happened the way the McCanns claim

I like to think that we are all innocent until proven guilty. I'm also pleased that the police are finally doing something, whether it proves the McCanns guilty or innocent, at least the police are doing what they should have done in the beginning.

They've changed the police chief. Instead of the one who blames the mothers and gets them to confess, we've got the one who blames the foreigners and gets them to confess. We're still no nearer the truth, but it keeps the circulation up for the gutter press here and in Portugal.
