I've never been to a concert in my whole life and I'm going to see My Chemical Romance later on this year and I don't want anything to go wrong!I've also got standing tickets. So could anyone kindly tell me what to look out for when attending such a concert eg:
What to and what not to do?
Is shoving my way to the front a good idea?
Should I leave the concert early to queue up for meet and greet sessions?(if there are any)
What should I do if there are very tall people in front of me and I can't see a blessed thing on stage?
Should I buy merch before or after the show?
Should I sneak a camera in?
Is it dangerous? Will I break anything if I'm not careful?

That's it..anymore helpful tips are welcome!Thank you!

MCR's awsome, but they're kinda strict as far as things go. first off, i'm guessing it's a nice arena, so NO BELT! not allowed. and no camra. hard to sneek in. if so get a cheap digital one cause they might take it. lol. phone. bring ur cell or a lighter. they loves lighters better. don't push ppl down. Gerard will hate u. someone passed out from bn trappled in th mosh and Gee stopped dead in the middle of a song and told them to fuckking help her and if that ever happened again we better help her and all. he loves his fans. he doesn't want us hurt. (i was sitting then, had just gotten some merch and hadn't made it back down). b4's better-more stuff, and during like opening acts or go have someone get it for u or during intermission. don't leave early. they stay whole show till the end. u don't leave till gee drops the mic and walks off(that's what he always does) tall person, just move. it's hard to kinda, but ull get used to it and learn to love it and get good at it. just sqeeze, not shove. mosh pit's dangerous, yes, but like i said, Gee looks out 4 u. be careful, but not overly so. just have a great time with it. Scream as loud as u can and have something to throw to Gee if u can. he loves that! lol. have fun!!!!!!!

Like many other unfortunates, I have never been to a show. But I do have common sense and a know how MCR is.
Try not to lose your mind, though dissolving in tears should be okay. That's what I would do.
I don't recommend shoving your way to the front, but I've seen kids at MCR show videos crowdsurf to the front and no one's ever dropped them.
IF they do a moshpit, I wouldn't worry too much. I saw a video of a concert on youtube where Gerard said "We're gonna do a moshpit, and if anyone next to you falls down, help them up or I'll stop." And every time someone went down, about five people helped them back up again.
NO ONE IN MCR IS GETTING WASTED AFTER THE SHOW.
I would try to leave early, but probably wouldn't be able to tear myself from the stage. If you see other people leaving to get in line for a-meet-and-greet, tag along.
If there is some one tall in front of you, just ask them to move to one side. I doubt they'll say no.
By merch after the show.
Don't try sneaking in a full-fledged camera, but if you have a cellphone with video that should work.
I don't think it'll be too dangerous. There have been stories of kids getting hurt at MCR concerts, but one member will sometimes go to the medical place at the stadium or whatever, so if you get hurt at least you'll be able to meet Frankie or somebody!
Don't freak out too much! I'd rather be unprepared and enjoy myself than have a heart attack and miss the whole thing because I worried about it so much.

I've never been to an MCR concert, so I cant be of much help...BUT!
Contrary to what the first answer said, MCR does not run off right after the concert to get drunk. They're not your typical rockstars. His alcohol days are over. Like Gee said, a party to them is "strong coffee and fast internet." lol!
They always try to do a meet & greet with the fans. But I cant gaurentee they will...
It depends on what you want to do, miss the end of the concert, so you have a better chance of meeting the guys soon, or watch the whole show and maybe meet them.
Yeah, buy the merch after the show.
It can be dangerous, but MCR is against violence, they like the fans to look out for eachother. But even so, you should be careful. & I wouldnt join any moshpits (although, sometimes MCR doesnt allow moshing)
Try and work your way to the front, and past any tall people, but dont get hurt in the process.

Have fun!
(I'm oozing jealousy at the moment, but still happy for you even, though I've no idea who you are! ^.^)

look i hate the band personally but ill give you some pointers. just do what others are doing and buy merchandise after the show so your **** doesnt get broken. also there are never meet and greet sessions. most bands split quick because the are going to get wasted as soon as the show is over.
