i dont want the full form of GNWL but would like to know where my reservation stands?

my dear you have not mention the pnr no .
actually gnwl is general wait list number. this is done as you are on general wait list. Indian railway system is linked by 5 terminals. on the end of day the general wait list become priority wait list as all data of the day will be curbed on the end of the day like ladies quota and there are lot of other quota in Indian railway. and also if the passengers are male and female it will separate them as their wait list . this is done because at least female member can get the priority in ladies quota if the male is in general wait list. your reservation stand as on the general cancellation of ticket priority list. except other quota cancellation.

General Wait List (GNWL) or General Quota wait list is a type of waiting list in Indian Railway. The main quota for a train is called the General Quota, the General Quota is normally for passengers boarding at (or close to) the trains’ originating station, and travelling to the terminating station (or at least most of the route), when all the General Quota tickets are sold, a General Wait List (GNWL or just WL) is started.
