There is no universal knowledge.... any or all knowledge that we can ever get hold of can only be relative since it is subjective.

The "universal" knowledge base is based on what are called "universals." From universals come particulars. If so called philosophy students would comprehend the "universals", and then implement them in their travel through this thing called life, life would be much more clear and the particulars would not be so contradictory of each other.
