I sang this to an old guy in the rest home. He was on the "way out" and with his last breath he said "will somebody sing something for me?" I didn't know him. I just happened to be passing by his room when he spoke. What would you do? I didn't know these were going to be his last words. But as it turned out they were. So I stepped up to the plate and sang the 1st song that popped into my head. When I began he looked so peaceful. But as my song progressed I could see something was wrong. He began to look like he was in pain. His body began to twitch. He tried to raise his hands to his ears. I think he wanted to cup them around his ears in order to hear me better. So I got closer and sang louder. The pain in this man's face really got to me. My heart nearly broke for him. Suddenly his limbs all stiffened and his breathing stopped. A tear left his eye and rolled slowly down his cheek. Afterwards I realized how lucky I was to have had the opportunity to fullfill this man's last wish. One doesn't get many chances to help a fellow human being cross over like this. Well heres the song -

I guess this will make me sound silly to some people, but before I had to put my 17 yr old cat to sleep (major health issues, he was suffering) I sang You Are My Sunshine to him. No, he wasn't a person, but he was part of my family, and I loved him. I still miss him.

The last time I sang for someone was my neice's birthday weekend (Oct 7th) and I sung "The Best Day Ever" from Spongebob. My neice and nephew love that song!!!
