While I'm a conservative, I rarely listen to Rush nowadays.
But sooner or later everyone makes a mistake or two.
But if Rush has said something that was indeed false, the libs would have plastered it all over, don't you think?

I am not going to argue ver batim But Volley ball is way out of context! I will go for just one here @@@@" In this very same book (chapter 14), he also claimed that there is more forest land in America today than when Columbus discovered the continent in 1492."
What was actual stated was the fact that there is more forest Edge land! this is where Open areas cut into forest which is actually conducive to increased animal population. This Edge is where the Majority of Animals eat and breed NOT in Deep forest But in this field /Forest edge. So What Mr Limbaugh was discussing was Increased Animal population through this eco system.
Agian BUrt is wrong as He (Rush) stated More "Deaths" Not "Death Rate" or Percentage. See How Both Sides can twist and Distort! Play the game anyway you want...........

1) Limbaugh: "Don't let the liberals deceive you into
believing that a decade of sustained growth without inflation
in America (in the '80s) resulted in a bigger gap between the
have and the have-nots. Figures compiled by the
Congressional Budget Office dispel that myth"
(Limbaugh, The Way Things Ought to Be, p. 70).
Reality: CBO numbers for after-tax incomes show that in
1980 the richest fifth of our country had eight times the
income of the poorest fifth. By 1989, the ratio was more
than 20-to-1.
2)Limbaugh: "The poorest people in America are better off
than the mainstream families of Europe" (radio, 1993).
Reality: The poorest 20 percent of Americans can purchase
an average of $5,433 worth of goods with their income.
Meanwhile, in Germany, the average person can purchase
$20,610 worth of goods; in France, $19,200;
in Britain, $16,730 (World Development Report 1994,
published by the World Bank).
"Why should Blacks be heard? They're 12% of the population.
Who the hell cares."
"When you strip it all away, Jerry Garcia
(former Grateful Dead guitarist) destroyed his life on
drugs. And yet he's being honored, like some godlike
figure. Our priorities are out of whack, folks."
Wouldn't you say that is a bit hyporcitical of him?
"The Earth's eco-system is not fragile."
"The only way to reduce the number of nuclear weapons is to use them."

Specific? How is this:
April, 1994: Stated on his radio show that "there is no conclusive proof that nicotine's addictive. . . And the same thing with cigarettes causing emphysema, lung cancer, heart disease."
June 9th, 1994: On his TV show, he stated that there was a federal regulation that stated if you have a Bible at your desk at work, then you are guilty of religious harassment.
In his book, "See, I Told You So", he stated, "There are more American Indians alive today than there were when Columbus arrived." In this very same book (chapter 14), he also claimed that there is more forest land in America today than when Columbus discovered the continent in 1492.
1991: Rush claimed that Styrofoam was biodegradable and paper wasn't.
Did I pass??

He said that he was ok with the Dubai ports deal, a deal which never went through because the American people said no to it. The American people are right, which means Rush was wrong.

1. Philadelphia has the same murder rate for Americans as Iraq, why don't we leave Philadelphia?
In 2006, there were between 126,700 and 144,000 troops in Iraq and 821 deaths, making a death rate of 570 (at least) per 100,000. Philadelphia on the other hand, had 1.4 million people and a death rate of 29 per 100,000.

I don't listen to limbaugh any more... because he "twists" the facts....
he's not "wrong"... he just HUGELY plays up the positive and ignores the negative on the points he wants too... and vice-versa on the points he doesn't like...
much like Michael Moore...
they don't have "untruths"... just huge twists of the truth...
from what little I've listened to him...
except on ESPN... he said McNabb wasn't a good qb...
that's rediculous... if you look at his W/L record... .compare his stats to Montana... and look at the recievers he's had...
to anyone that knows football... he's a very good qb... not the greatest... but very good...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Montana#Career_statistics
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donovan_mcnabb#NFL_year_by_year_statistics
and joe had jerry, clark and taylor...
Donovan would have rings too if he had those guys...

Rush is rarely wrong, which is why his show has lasted so long.
He is, however, misquoted a lot.
