I'll leave it at that.

Perhaps you should research the subject yourself. If you are speaking of the Mayan calendar, then you need to do some very serious research and stop accepting the trash you read on the internet about it. This is not something to hype up as the end of times as you wish to do here. Go to your local library and get a library card. Check out a book by the best researcher on the calendar and culture of the Mayans - John Major Jenkins. You will find that neither the Mayans nor the calendar mention anything about an end of times. The calendar is merely ending a cycle and a new cycle is beginning.

The crap which portend that "scientists" agree on is fictitious. Very few persons have studied the Mayan calendar. Few of those who have studied it understand it. This is why so many on the internet have jumped upon it to proclaim it to be something which it is not. Psychics, armegedonists, doomsayers, clairivoyants, new agers, fiction writers,... these are your so called people of science and religion that you blindly choose to believe.

I have studied 2012 for the past four years. I fail to fully understand the motivation of those who willingly deceive others like yourself. There are no laws stating that everything printed on the internet needs to be truthful. You need to excercise a certain amount of common sense to what you read and accept as truth. It is a test of your gullability.

Religion is happy to jump on anything that proclaims the end of times. It keeps the flock scared and thus more obedient. If you did some research on this, you would know that this recent end of days date is not the first. It will neither be the last.

Please present your "research" proclaiming the end and I will present true evidence countering every one of your examples.

Your scare tactics are unwarranted and unappreciated.

I HAVE done the research and there is NOTHING to the claims of doom in 2012. Science does not agree. Religion does not agree. Only web sites written by crazy people think anything special will happen in 2012. You will see in 2013.

The only people that believe this are loonies, hippies and people that think the Mayans had all the answers.

But do me a favour. If you really think the world will end in 2012 and we'll be destroyed I'd like you to leave me all your money and worldly possessions to be paid out on January 1st 2013. After all, if the world is going to end it's not like you actually need that stuff afterwards now do you?

Only people with little concept of actual science (and how it works) say things like "Never before has science and religion agreed on anything, except the year 2012". I read science publications and websites all the time and the only place I've heard this crap is on superstitious, deluded, end-of-the-world websites.

And youtube.

The 2012 US Presidential election? We haven't survived the 2008 election yet! Seriously, I know what you're referring to, and it's a bunch of rubbish.

I assume you mean the research on The History Channel.

No scientist I know takes any notice of this. No person of any religious background I know takes any notice of this. I'm doing more with your question than I normally bother. That's because if there's just one faint hope . . .
