When I first fell pregnant my tiredness was like nothing I've ever experienced before. Whereas normally you're tired you can kind of force your body into keeping going if you need to and your head can overrule your desire to sleep with pregnancy tiredness my body completely ruled my head. If my body wanted to sleep I HAD to sleep. There was nothing I could do to control it. It wasn't like drowsiness you get with sleeping tablets or not having enough sleep and I didn't really feel it in my eyes. It was just an overwhelming compulsion to sleep wherever I was and whatever I was doing!

some women never get over the tiredness of pregnancy ... more then likely in your second trimester you should start feeling some energy come back.. then when your baby and you start gaining more weight it will come back.. talk to your doctor about what vitamins you should take I have a b-12 deficiency and take all the B's in a pill and also have a monthly injection....if I do not take these I am exhausted.. like I said talk to your doctor if it is really becoming a problem..

Like "morning sickness" I had it through most of my pregnancy. It did ease off in the 2nd trimester but was back again by the 3rd trimester (the tiredness, not the morning sickness; I had that for the entire time for 3 pregnancies).

usually past the first trimester (13-14wks) and you should be feeling better, till about the third trimester (28-40wks) when it hits again and this time much worse, Sorry!
Try drinking loads of water and exercising as it can actually give you more energy because you are producing endorphins. Get an early nights sleep too.
Best of luck!

Count yourself lucky. I was far too sick even to notice if I was tired or not. It should go by 12 weeks, and then after about 30 weeks it often returns, but it's a different kind of tiredness, I'm told. I didn't get the second kind and I was too sick to work out whether I had the first. As I said, if that's the only problem you have, you're lucky.

Most people overcome it when the first trimester ends. The body is busy building the placenta in the first trimester and that is one of the main reasons you feel so tired. In the fourth month most women get their energy levels back as well as hopefully ridding themselves of morning sickness. Mine started the day the first trimester ended lol.

I dunno, but I wish it would go away! I did start feeling a slight bit more energetic after 7 weeks, but still shattered. I end up in bed as soon as I get home and all I can manage is to watch tv ... or sleep. This time change I've got here in Oz is just wrong too, I lost an hours sleep!!!! So not fair!
