Does it need time..?

Does "the pill" take an effect automatically when you start taking it..
e.g. The first period you get after taking "the pill"gets shorter and lighter
Does this happen or do you have to wait a few periods

It needs some time. It can take about 3 months for the body to adjust to being on the pill. Having a shorter period should start with your first cycle which is about 3 weeks after you start taking the pill.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
