Oh ya,they smell nasty! I live near the waterfront,and the rock breakwater is a magnet for them.
when they come to find warmth for the winter,I know it just from going into the garage,as the main entrance to the attic is just an opening in the gyprock.

They do. I had one die in the loft above my bed and i didnt know it was there until maggotts started falling through the light fitting above my bed.A real life horror story
