Nothing, every moment good or bad has shaped me.
Love for myself, family and friends.
Grandchildren, taking longer holidays with my husband.
Be true to yourself. Keep the faith, have a few options for a working career, be a happy and trustworthy person. Love for every reason or no reason at all. ....Enjoy your journey. :-)

I suppose at 60 I could start thinking of myself as being an older person but I don't feel old (although my body won't do the things it did 40 years ago). We all make mistakes in life, they are what make us who we are. The best age is the age you are, there is always so much in front of you with more things to learn. I started a degree at 38 and completed it at 45 and I'm thinking of doing a PhD next. That should keep the mind active.

For a high school kid, don't tie yourself to anything too early. Explore the world, yourself and the possibilities. As Auntie mame said "Life is a banquet and most people are starving to death." Enjoy the feast.

By the way, Id love to be your age again but only if I can know everything I know now.

I would have kept in touch with all the wonderful people that somehow I lost over the years

my family

seeing my son grow up

All the things that seem to matter so much right now (cliques, groups, fashions, popularity) will be unimportant in just a few years. Don't let stuff get to you. Do what you need to do in school, make friends that are true and don't back stab. Take responsibility for your own actions. Go to college. Enjoy your time before adulthood. Get involved in issues you care about. Study hard, but make time to have fun as well.

I'm 54 and i had 3 girls. I use to think that God was really mad at me. For you see I didn't understand them at all.
Looking back on my life I wish I had not put all my time into the girls. I should have spent some time for me. I know this makes me sound selfish. But there is a life outside of the kids.
But at the time with all the talk shows were saying that if you didn't give them each and ever min. of your time shame on you.
So when the girls left for collage I had to start all over again. I had no friend out side of my kids. This is no life. Plus I think it made the girls very dependent on us. And it seem as thou we are always expected to pick up the pieces. And then they get mad at how we do it.
You have to understand the girls while at home never gave us any problem. It was after they move out.
What keeps me going is my grand kids and we do enjoy them.
I look forward to a long life with my husband of 37yrs and traveling all over he world. I ride dressage every day and play golf at lease 2 times a week. Living now in Indonesia.
As kids for in high school make them responsible for their actions. Teach them to stand on there own 2 feet. if they want a car make them buy it. Just as one sample. Its hard for parents, they want to make things easy for kids but this is wrong. Life is never easy and they should learn while at home with a back up system.

I'm (not old, sorry for breaking the rules, but I don't think many "old" people go on this website)
I'd go back to all the memories I aborted and make them happen
Knowing that I have so much future ahead of me keeps me going
I can't wait to make up for all the lost time
High school kids...go for your passions, even if it means risking rejection/humiliation. It's easier to overcome being rejected than it is to walk away from something that could have been

I'm 38, I wish I would have stood up for myself more, wish I would have finished college sooner, wish I wouldn't have tried drugs, wish I never started smoking, basically I would say stay in school for as long as you can, getting a docotorate is easier than working a job, plus you'll make more when you finally finish school.

And don't smoke, drink, or use drugs, and use a condom everytime you have sex, and never get a ride with a drunk driver.
