Kate and Gerry McCann got a massive boost last night as Portuguese police finally acted on their unwavering conviction that Madeleine was kidnapped. Rebelo's reconstruction is the clearest sign since he took the reins of the probe three weeks ago that he believes Madeleine was snatched from the flat.

Detectives are understood to be examining the theory that Madeleine was kidnapped, stolen to order on the instructions of a paedophile gang and might still be alive in Morocco. This goes against lines of inquiry which focused on her parents Kate and Gerry McCann, who are formal suspects in the case.

Detectives were seen passing objects through the window of the front bedroom where Madeleine had been sleeping in the ground-floor apartment at the Ocean Club resort in Praia da Luz.

The Portugese Police may have acted incompetently throughout the investigation but as I am sure most of us are aware the holiday resort the McCanns were staying in does not have a high volume of vanishing children.
Yes they should have done things differently and maybe now they are trying to see all angles.....
At the end of the day something very wrong happened that night.......I only hope we can all have the answers we want!

The Pj are examining this abduction theory and will make sure that in the coming trial, and yes i believe there will be one, the defence cannot win their freedom by saying that the pj did not thoroughly investigate the abduction theory.
We all know who the real criminals are, and unfortunately they are sitting home in this country. I agree with the one poster on here, that it is about time the numbskulls started to look into this case a bit more thoroughly and realise that they are being taken for a ride.
Probably our Gordon pulling a few strings somewhere behind the scenes as well.

Isn't this getting a little out of control?! Has it ever occurred to people how many missing or murdered children there are in the world? Have their parents or guardians received all this media attention and a visit with the Pope?! Let's get some perspective, okay?

although i believe that kate killed her daughter, i still think that they should investigate the snatched to order possibility and with a bit of luck might rescue other children being held by paedophile gangs.

The parents remain the prime suspects. The PJ are going through the process of examining the abduction theory. In the absence of proof of abduction - statistically the fickle finger of fate for a missing child leads back to the parents.

Hello,
(ANS) its sad, its sick and its horrific that its taken the Portuguese Police months of delay & sheer incompetence to come to the most obvious and completely logical explanation for this case. i.e. that "the child was" abducted and that was the truth from day one.
**My guess is that Madeline McCann was abducted and whisked out of the country within 24hrs of her going missing. The problem remains that she could if still alive be literally any where in the world.

i would like to clarify the portuguese police should never have even been allowed on the case as they are a discrace if she is dead its probably their fault for not acting quick enough and they should be prosecuted.

About time they did the right thing! Shame its now way too late as all evidence will have gone and witnesses will have forgotten. What a shambles. Lets hope they find her alive and well before Crimbo!
