I'm being serious when I say this.. the reason is that people today aren't as conscious as they were 10 or even 5 years ago, I'm not saying hip-hop the style is bad, but TODAY'S style of worthless pop-rap is a sign that today's society most materialistic and superficial group that's ever walked the earth....

i think that hip hop is the best because a person can get into the beat and can really dance to it while rock it just some noise and classical music is just boring.
so right now hip hop is the best because the music is better than the rest.

Well right now everyone is in to it...Its not just music that only relates to the struggles of the "hood"...Its a multi billion dollar industry that has broaden its audiences from east to west from central to south...To every country in the world...Its the "new pop" in some ways. Suburban kids are curious about...its their new "fad"...It controversy has spread to political heights that it has never seen...I mean hip hop music has had its moments with politics...aka NWA's *** the police...and PE's by the time I get to arizona...to 2 live crew being banned in the USA...but not at this level...Where u have squares like Bill O'reilly talking about it and Don Imus using it as a scapegoat to get off the hook to justify what he did wrong. It just whats right now. A POPULAR MONEY MAKER

hip hop is the most popular genre because it appeals to everyone now. where it used to be either a message for black people or gangsta rap now it is dance and even other races join into it

but hip hop has more exposure than in the past
also you have lots of kids who think they are doing something "forbidden" in listening to hip hop
but "heads" like me really like the music
